Meet Alastair
Hello there, I am Alastair Macdonald, a qualified Nutritionist , Strength & Conditioning Coach, Personal Trainer and Tutor. I have over 30 years experience in the industry and since I started I have worked with most types of people, from Elite Athletes and Bodybuilders, to doing chair based exercise to older adults in Care Homes and working with them on nutritional issues.
Nutrition Science has advanced greatly over the last decade or so, however, we are still being told to adhere to guidelines that were brought out in the 1950's based on no proven theories. Since then we have seen Obesity, Type 2 Diabetes, Metabolic Syndrome and Heart Disease skyrocket. However, with proper education and a sensible approach to Nutrition & Exercise, this now needs to be no longer the case and we can regress and eliminate these Metabolic Disorders and improve the health and wellbeing of all. I do 1 to 1 coaching, group coaching, healthy eating plans, seminars at gyms or places of work and I also coach others, such as personal trainers, to improve their knowledge of Nutrition, therefore improving their knowledge in the industry.
